Stupid Extroverts

No, I'm being serious. Just because I work in an office building full of other people does not mean that I automatically transform into somebody who likes people.

"So, how's married life treatin' ya?"

Don't you think that if you were one of the people with whom I'm sufficiently intimate with to actually give a meaningful answer to something so private that maybe I'd have already mentioned it voluntarily? So, yeah, being asked inane questions where I'm not really expected to give any sort of honest answer bugs me. It's a fake sort of connection that might serve as a bonding mechanism for extroverts, but amongst introverts like me it just adds more weight to the ranking of who gets left in the burning building.
